Do you frown at the thought of exercise?
Well, I just wanted to give you that little extra bit of encouragement to get you exercising intelligently and safely with your partner.
Don’t worry if you are single, you can do these exercises with a friend…
because there are many benefits to working out in couples…
Working out in pairs improves motivation.
It is safer to work in pairs, as you can check if each other are doing the poses or exercises correctly, and this can avoid injury.
It has been scientifically proven that exercising releases endorphins, and as we are social beings, having these ‘happy’ chemicals released in the brain is even more fun when you are sharing the happiness.
Exercising together demonstrates support within your relationship or friendship, it is also a good opportunity to encourage your partner.
Working out with a partner shows dedication.
When exercising as a pair, you can work towards shared goals and even create a vision board together.
Some exercises, just like any successful relationship, require trust.
Making these small shifts together can lead to signing up for activities such as mountain biking, or salsa dancing for example.
It is a nice excuse to give each other compliments, and positive reinforcement.
Ultimately, you are creating memories together and sharing experiences, as well as overcoming obstacles.
You see – easy to exercise when you do it in pairs… but who to choose?
So it can be your romantic partner, or your best friend, a neighbour, and even a friend of a friend with similar interests as you… there will always be somebody who is up for doing partner exercise, and finding the right partner can be the difference between reaching your goals or not bothering to show for the sessions.
